I have always admired the majestic wolf and while doing research for a new pup, I came across the Tamaskan breed. The lupine appearance of this dog captured my attention. Research began immediately on this new breed of dog to see if their characteristics would be a good fit for us. We decided we would love to welcome this breed into our home so the wait to adopt one began.
Starlight Aurora better known as Kami came into our lives first. We imported her from Starlight Tamaskan in Scotland. She traveled a long distance to reach her forever home. We are just thrilled with how well she has integrated into our lives.
Our next pup came from White Elk from Seattle, Washington; she didn’t have to cross an ocean, but it was still a journey. White Elk Eriu better known as Kira joined our family and the immediate bond between Kami and Kira was the most adorable thing to witness. You always hope that bringing a new pup into the family goes well. These two became best friends at first sight.
Our next Tamaskan pup is still to be determined!
Thinking I would like to become more involved, it was decided to have both girls complete the required health testing for breeding. In the back of my mind a little seed was saying "I would love to become a breeder and advocate for the Tamaskan”. Health testing completed, both girls passed, and the decision to become a breeder was made.
Stoney Creek is located in the southwest part of Ohio and is the only Tamaskan Dog Register (TDR) breeder located in the state.
I am the current Treasurer for the Tamaskan Dog Register (TDR) and I enjoy working and hiking with my dogs. The picture above is from one of my favorite stomping grounds. The picture was taken by my son, D. W. Walters Photography. You will certainly be able to identify the pictures on this site that were taken by him.
Visitors to Stoney Creek are always welcome, but appointments are required. Thank you for visiting my website.
